Complete your Annual training with the RMI

29 April 2016

MOT training is changing this year, with the MOT refresher course now suspended and being replaced with MOT annual training and an assessment.

The RMI is offering five annual training options to help you complete the new training, and ensure you have access to a method that suits the needs of your business.

We will start to deliver these in June when the assessment is available, however we are notifying you now so we can gauge the demand for each option. With this in mind, please register your interest by calling 0845 305 4230.

Here are the five ways you will be able complete your annual training with us:

1. On-site training

Our MOT QC field team can deliver annual training at your premises for up to 6 delegates. The online assessment (at an additional cost per delegate) can be taken immediately following the course with the trainer present, or they can take it at their own convenience.

The cost for training is £200 per site visit. This does not include the online assessment costs.

2. Classroom training at the RMI Academy of Automotive Skills

Training at the RMI Academy in Southam can be delivered for up to 12 delegates at a time. The online assessment will take place at the end of the course.

This package includes training and the online assessment, and is £75 per delegate.

3. Regional forums

Training can be delivered for up to 40 delegates at our member events and forums across the country and throughout the year. The online assessment must be taken outside of the course.

This package includes training and the online assessment, and is £70 per delegate.

The first forum is being held in Bristol on Tuesday 14th June - click here to find out more.

4. Workbook and assessment pack

An RMI annual training workbook can be posted out to testers to complete in their own time. The book will contain a unique set of login details on the last page to take the online assessment.

This package includes the self-learning workbook and the online assessment, and is £45 per delegate.

5. E-learning

Annual training and the online assessment can be carried out fully online through an e-learning system.

This package includes access to e-learning and the online assessment, and is £60 per delegate.

All five options require three hours of training or self-learning, plus completion of the online assessment. They will all meet the annual requirement set by the DVSA, and include an RMI Certificate of Learning.
