Only 2 months left to complete your 2019/20 MOT Annual Training
Have you completed your MOT Tester Annual Training for 2019/20 yet? With only two months until deadline it’s crucial for MOT Testers to complete their Annual Training and log their assessment score on the MTS before the 31st March deadline.
Testers will be suspended if they do not complete their training and assessment, and check that their assessment score has been recorded on the MTS by March 31st 2020. To return to testing you will need to complete the 2020/21 annual training and assessment, and pass a DVSA demonstration test.
The DVSA will not be accepting certificates emailed in after March 31st, or backdating results to profiles manually as they have done in previous years, so it is vital that testers complete their training and check that their assessment results have been recorded correctly on the MTS before the deadline.
You can check that your certificate details are correct and logged in the right group category on the MTS by logging into your profile and clicking on the ‘annual assessments’ link on the right hand side of the page. If you receive reminders this means your certificate details have not been entered. You should also check that your results are correct and consistent with the awarding body for your assessment.
As the experts in this field who work closely with the DVSA, we can support your testers with thorough training to help them ensure they have access to a method of training designed to suit their needs.
With the DVSA updating the MTS regularly, it is ever-important for testers to be aware of key changes pertaining to MOT testing. As well as this, testers should take every opportunity to broaden their knowledge across all areas of MOT Testing whenever possible.

Testers will receive the mandatory 3 hours of training, and will be given an assessment code at an additional cost to complete the annual assessment at their own leisure.
Due to the extreme popularity of this training package, we recommend booking as soon as possible to secure preferable dates for your business.
The cost for on-site training starts from £245 + VAT for RMI Members.
Access to the annual assessment is not included in this package and is £34 + VAT per candidate.

All RMI training packages include at least three hours of training or self-learning for the 2019/20 syllabus for class 4 & 7 vehicles, plus the online assessment. Where specified, training is also available for class 1 & 2 vehicles. All options meet the mandatory annual requirements set by the DVSA.
