With Christmas just weeks away and 2020 just around the corner, I feel that we can look back at 2019 with a high degree of satisfaction at what has been achieved by the sector. As we look forward, we must continue to build on this and ensure that, with your continued support, we make even bigger strides in the new year.
You should now have received your copy of the Garage Guide to ADAS, which has been developed to provide you with an all-encompassing overview of ADAS technology. This is our fifth book in the ‘Garage Guide’ series and we hope you find it useful. As new legislation, equipment and standards evolve we will continue with this method of communication.
I am delighted to announce that entries are now open for the IGA’s British Independent Garage of the Year Awards (BIG Awards). As your trade body we want to give independent garages the recognition they deserve by honouring the outstanding garages and technicians that keep our country on the move. All garages that reach the shortlist will truly be providing a great example to the sector and will win high-profile recognition from the UK’s largest trade body for independent garages, plus two complimentary tickets to a fun-filled awards evening hosted by Hugh Dennis. Please enter your garage today and show us how good you are so we can really shout about the sector.
The IGA recently sent out an updated credit score for all companies featured in the 2019 Garage Work Provider Report and we will continue to do this on a six-monthly basis for your information only, to provide you with a clear understanding of the providers you choose to work with.
Finally, to conclude the last bulletin of 2019, I’d like to personally take this opportunity on behalf of myself and the team to thank you for your ongoing support of the IGA. We wish you all a happy and peaceful festive period, and a successful and prosperous New Year. The support team will be available on the member helpline over the Christmas period if you need us.
