The Connected Car debate is still raging, with access to technical information being the biggest threat to independent garages in many years. We will soon be taking this issue to our Government and anticipate this to be ongoing for many years.
In other lobbying news, the Department for Transport’s consultation on roadworthiness testing for vehicles of historic interest is closing on the 2nd of November. The proposal asks for opinions on five options, four of which will replace MOTs with a special roadworthiness ‘safety’ test or certification for historic vehicles. We strongly oppose this and will be responding that all cars must have a full MOT at all times to ensure safety on the roads. If you wish to add your own response, you will need to do so today.

With the March deadline closing in we can foresee it being more difficult for garages to get the help they need in completing their training, so call us to get started.
