The last month has seen an intense focus in Brussels and Holland, where we have been working on a lobbying position around the connected car. This could pose a major threat to all garages when vehicle manufacturers will have the ability to communicate directly with the drivers of their vehicles. We have developed, through our EU representative body CECRA, a strong position paper that is also backed by franchise trade associations in other EU states, and have created a plan that will keep a level playing field and give consumers the choice they are entitled to.

Now that the March 2017 deadline is nearing for MOT testers to complete their annual training, we have increased availability for all our training packages. This includes regional events across the country and training sessions at the RMI Academy for face-to-face learning, as well as our popular workbooks for independent study. We advise testers to complete their annual training before the Christmas period, as they may struggle to find a training session available as the deadline approaches.
