Dear Member,

The IGA is carrying out a major study to create the first league table of the best and worst online consumer work providers. We are looking for a sizeable quantity of garages to rate the most prominent of these work providers, so if you receive work from any one of these consumer websites we would very much like hear from you - we need your help. Your response will be completely confidential and anonymous, so please send your name and contact details to survey@rmif.co.uk and we will be in touch with further information.

The “Garage Guide to GDPR” for Independent Garages is in the latter stages of development, and will be sent out to all members in the New Year. You can read more below about how the guide will help you to prepare and be legally compliant by the May 2018 deadline.

You should have received your new IGA Training Catalogue by now, containing all courses available through the IGA, including our exclusive new technical training courses at the RMI Academies in Southam and Runcorn. Remember you can call us on 0845 305 4230 to find a course dates that suit you. We’ll be revising our catalogue regularly to ensure that your technicians remain up to date with the latest training requirements and industry developments.

Preparations are now well underway for Bangers4Ben 2017, where The IGA will be taking part in a rally across the Alps in themed bangers from 7-10th October to raise money for our industry’s charity, Ben. We’re competing to against 50 other teams to raise the most money, so please give generously and take a guess at our car’s theme at www.Flatpack-Flyer.co.uk.

Lastly we are already half way through the 2017/18 annual training year. All options are still available, call us today to discuss your requirements and find an annual training package best suited to the needs of your business.

Best regards,

Stuart James
