Now that we have passed the halfway point for the current MOT annual training year, please ensure that your testers are able complete their training and assessment in good time before the March 31st deadline. Last year 1,892 testers were immediately suspended, taking up to six weeks to get reapproved. Don’t risk losing business – if you need training support, you can find more information about our annual training and assessment packages below.
The DVSA has announced that next year’s annual training pass mark will increase from 70% to 80%. We will continue to provide a variety of training options to ensure all testers are able to pass their assessment, however if you would like on-site annual training please book as soon as possible to secure a date, as this option continues to be extremely popular.
ADAS is very much in the limelight at the moment, with more and more vehicles being fitted with ADAS as standard. These systems often require recalibrations, even after something as simple as steering geometry adjustment, so it is important that you are aware of the various ADAS components you could encounter and when recalibration is required. With this in mind the IGA is creating a Garage Guide to ADAS, which will provide straightforward information on the different types of ADAS, how they work together, and how to carry out ADAS repair and calibration, giving technicians the knowledge required to identify and work with these systems. Look out for the guide landing on your doorstep very soon.
