We are pleased to announce that our new member hotline has been installed and is now live. Exclusively for IGA members, this direct line between you and the IGA team avoids the unnecessary hassle of phone automation. A handy pin up card detailing the direct number will be posted to you shortly.
After the recognition the Garage Work Provider Report received, we have begun the initial preparation for a second version, due for release early 2019. You can expect to be contacted by us within the next 6 months for feedback on the providers you use (if any!) requesting data relating to the number of jobs you’ve received through these providers and more general information, such as their Terms and Conditions and subscription fees. We appreciate your help with this and hope to produce a report that reflects the views and experiences across all IGA members.
The Intellectual Property Office is driving a campaign to raise awareness around the rise of counterfeit car parts in collaboration with many prominent groups within the motor industry, including the IGA. The aim is to raise awareness of the dangers posed by counterfeit car parts to consumers and businesses. You will be receiving posters shortly to be displayed prominently in your premises to aid the awareness campaign.
The GDPR services we provide have already benefitted many members. Across our range of three audit products, you’re sure to find an option that is right for your business needs. GDPR is here to stay and you must stay compliant to avoid being fined, however it is not as difficult to conform to the new regulations as you may think. If you need further support, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Lastly, we are looking to establish a third RMI Academy of Automotive Skills to cater to the needs of individuals and businesses in the South of the UK. We are currently exploring various locations, and all the same training options that are already provided in the existing Warwickshire & Cheshire academies will be available to garages in this new facility.
