Field Operations Manager
Mark Champelovier is the Field Operations Manager at the IGA.
His role is to manage the field team delivery of member services such as Hybrid and Diagnostic Training, MOT QC and Health and Safety. He also oversees the delivery of services to Volvo and Mercedes Benz, audits for Volvo Bodyshop Scheme and Technical Training for Mercedes Benz customer external training.
Mark has been in the motor industry for 40 years, since leaving school. He took a 4 year apprenticeship with Ray Powell Group and worked his way up to Service Manager. He then joined Henley’s Group Northampton in 1986 and moved on to Aston Martin Lagonda in 1987, becoming Team manager for Rectification and Preparation which involved research, development and road test duties. Mark then joined Autolign Vehicle Inspection Company in 1994 before moving to the IGA as a regional manager. He has been in his current position since 2012.
Mark’s hobbies are football and keeping koi carp, and he used to coach at Northampton Town School of Excellence.
Not a lot of people know that - Marc has taken part in several motoring based TV programmes, one of which is still being shown called Wrecks to Ritches with Dominic Littlewood. It is about repairing vehicles back to an approved standard for members of the public on a fixed budget, and his job was to inspect the vehicles after they were repaired. Every so often he gets recognised by one of our members!
