MOT Quality Control Scheme

MOT Quality Control Scheme

The RMI represents more MOT testing stations than any other body. We always have our finger to the pulse, ensuring that Government directives affecting your MOT station are monitored and positioned to give members the best support available.

Our experienced MOT QC team can provide you with an overview of your MOT operations and help you to avoid any potential issue in the event of a DVSA inspection. As your DVSA license is vital to your business, why not safeguard it by being part of a DVSA recognised quality assurance program.

Our Services Include:

Bespoke MOT Quality Control Schemes

This package includes regular on-site visits with options for extra observed tests, MOT specific risk assessments, help with disciplinary issues, plus an MOT QC folder to keep your quality system documentation all in one place. These checks can be conducted unannounced should you wish.

Disciplinary Assistance

In the event of a disciplinary matter, our team can help you with advice, support and and any subsequent appeal to the DVSA when required.

Management Training

Our management training course gives an insight into the responsibilities of the Authorised Examiner.

We Defend Your Interests

We consult regularly with DVSA and the DFT, keeping our members interests at the forefront of MOT testing legislation and changes.

Scheme for single NTs

A package is also available for garages with single NTs, due to the change in requirements in Special Notice 1-2015 which implied AEs with a single tester should consider regular, third party checks.

MOT Consultant Role

You are now able to add our MOT consultants to the MTS system as an ‘Authorised Examiner Consultant’, giving them sight of your Test Quality Information (TQI) to provide a greater level of support for you and your business. Unannounced surveillance visits are also available to closer replicate the actual DVSA process.

Annual Training

Tailored annual training packages are available to suit your business needs.
