Garages must still meet COVID-Secure guidelines – would yours pass an HSE spot check?

Garages must still meet COVID-Secure guidelines – would yours pass an HSE spot check?

31 March 2021

Despite lockdown restrictions starting to ease across the UK, businesses must comply with COVID-Secure guidelines for the foreseeable future. Protect and reassure your customers and staff with a COVID-19 compliance audit, provided as a benefit of IGA membership.

HSE is still carrying out spot checks on all types of businesses to ensure they are COVID-Secure and will take immediate action if you are not managing the risk of spreading the virus. This could include an improvement notice, prohibition notice or even prosecution for breaking health and safety laws.

When you book an IGA COVID Compliance audit, one of our field team will visit your premises to provide guidance on making your garage COVID-secure, helping you to achieve compliance in line with government advice. Once your audit has been completed, if you meet the guidelines you will receive a poster to reassure your customers and staff that your business premises are COVID-Secure and a safe place to visit.

Book an audit today to:

  • Protect your employees and customers
  • Give anyone visiting your premises confidence that sufficient measures have been put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19
  • Ensure that you have documentation to support HSE inspections

This is a benefit of membership and there are no fees involved. To book your audit or find out more, please call the IGA Member Helpline on 01788 225 908 or email enquiries@rmif.co.uk.
