MOT Update - June 2015
Members of the MOT trade will be able to start claiming their accounts for the new MOT testing service next month.
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) will be emailing out instructions to trade members asking them to claim their accounts during June.
All Authorised Examiners (AEs), Nominated Testers (NTs) and other garage staff must claim a new account in order to use the new service.
The new accounts will contain all the information about new service users and their MOT tests replacing their current MOT Comp accounts.
The accounts will also give new users the chance to familiarise themselves with the new service before they’re given permission to start using the new service to carry out MOT tests for real.
Full claim account instructions will be sent to users by DVSA but, in the meantime, some introductory details the process are available on the on the GOV.UK website.
To find out more about the switchover process and the new service visit the on the GOV.UK website.
If you have any questions about the new service email your queries along with your VTS and AE number to DVSA at and they’ll get back to you as soon as they can.
