Trust My Garage - Keep Up To Date

01 June 2015

Trust My Garage is a fantastic selling point for an independent garage, as it gives consumers peace of mind that your garage has high standards and complies with strict requirements.

These requirements are stated in our Code of Practice document, which has recently been updated. You can view or download this new document here to make sure you are up to date with what your promises are to your customers as a Trust My Garage member.

There are several other things you can do to ensure that you are promoting your membership and that it’s visible to your customers.

Check that your address and contact details are correct on the Trust My Garage website. This makes sure that when someone types in a postcode, you will come up and be in the correct place on the map if you are nearby, as well as showing customers directions if they are using the mobile app. You can also add which services you provide, opening times, a description of your garage, a photo and more. To do this, login with your membership number and password on the right at http://www.tmgmembers.org/. If you have any problems with this you can call our member helpline on 0845 305 4230.

You can also advertise your membership by adding the Trust My Garage logo to your website, social media pages or to any of your own promotional material. Call our member helpline to request a high quality image of the logo, and remember to promote the many benefits that come with being a Trust My Garage member alongside it on your website and on social media.

Lastly, you can encourage your customers to give feedback about their visit by directing them to the Trust My Garage website or giving out paper forms in your reception area, which shows that you have an active and loyal customer base.

If you are not a member of Trust My Garage but would like to find out more, everything you need to know can be found out at http://www.tmgmembers.org/about/, or alternatively you can call our member helpline on 0845 305 4230.
